PURPOSE:To improve the polishing accuracy of the surface of a work considerably by continuously producing approximately constant contacting pressure between a grinding wheel and the polishing face of work through self-reset of the grinding wheel rotary shaft to zero position. CONSTITUTION:A disc flange 5 extending in the direction crossing perpendicularly against the axis of the grinding wheel rotary shaft is formed at the drum section of the grinding wheel rotary shaft 2 while a conical ball receiving face 6 is provided on the side end face of the grinding wheel 4 of said flange while matching the axis with said shaft 2. The upper/lower faces 14, 15 of said flange 5 and said ball receiving face 6 are supported movably in X, Y and Z-axis directions through steel balls 8a, 8b and 9 energized by spring. |
