The subject of the invention is a device for stripping power cables, intended for the recovery industry. This device is noteworthy in that it comprises at least two fixed-position gear-motor sets A, B oriented obliquely with respect to each other and supporting, at the end of shafts, two toothed rollers which brought together define an angle of approximately 60 degrees, the said teeth serving as surfaces for bearing on and entraining the cable to be stripped; vertical cutting means, diametrically opposed with respect to each other with respect to the said cable, allowing cutting along two opposed generatrices in order to ensure the suitable detachment of the outer sheathing from the cable. <IMAGE>
