PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum recording system of video information and sound information by using the 2nd frequency band so as to apply FM modulation saturation recording to a video luminance signal and using a frequency band below the 1st frequency so as to apply frequency multiplex recording to the video chrominance signal and the sound signal. CONSTITUTION:The video luminance signal Y subjected to FM modulation wave is applied with saturate recording between the 1st and 2nd frequencies having infinite gap loss. Further, video chrominance signals C1, C2 and the sound signal A subjected to PCM are recorded on the band being below the 1st frequency having infinite gap loss. The video chrominance signals C1, C2 are subjected to FM modulation and the result is subjected to frequency multiplex recording to a high frequency within a band below the 1st frequency. Thus, the video signal has a sufficient band for the luminance and the chromaticity in transmitting a present NTSC signal, and further the sound signal has a channel number as many as four surely on the condition of a 20kHz of base band and a 20-bit of quantized bit number and the transmission with excellent picture and sound quality and high fidelity is realized. |
