<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently adsorb and remove phenols in water containing phenols by using activated carbon and to surely fix the phenols to the activated carbon to prevent desorption or elution of the phenols from the activated carbon which adsorbs the phenols. SOLUTION: After the water containing phenols is brought into contact with activated carbon at 0 to 65 deg.C so that the phenols are adsorbed on the activated carbon, the activated carbon adsorbing the phenols is kept at 70 to 100 deg.C in water to fix the phenols to the activated carbon.</p> |
