PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the leaktightness of a cell by making the plane formed by an anode material surface so as to have its flatness smaller than the specified value coresponding to the diameter of a metal case. CONSTITUTION:When the flatness f of the surface of anode material 3 is large, the corresponding flatness of a sealing palate 6 to a metal case 1 becomes larger whatever each part may be finely made with precision, and the leaktightness of a cell is inferior because of uniform sealing pressure can not be established. Various methods are available to build the anode material 3 in he metal case 1 : the anode material powder is directly put in the case 1 and is pressed with a metal mold, and or a formed material which is united with the powder and a ring 4 is put in the case 1, etc. And the plane formed by surface of the anode material 3 is made so as to have its flatness smaller than 1/400 of the case 1 diameter. By this way, the improvement in leaktightness of the cell can be obtained. |
