The present invention relates to an electrical water heater. This water heater is characterised in that it comprises a single metal envelope consisting of two bells 1, 2 each internally lined with an insulating layer 3, 4, the lower bell 2 having, in its bottom, an orifice 5 sealed off by a removable flange 7 carrying the accessories 8-11 of the water heater, and, inside the volume delimited by the two bells 1, 2, a thin wall 12 which is water- and gas-tight, formed from an inflatable sack fixed in a sealed manner to the central orifice 5 of the lower bell 2 and applied, during mounting of the water heater, by inflation using air or water, against the internal face of the insulating layer 3, 4 of each of the bells 1, 2 constituting the envelope. <IMAGE>
