PURPOSE:To obtain clear picked-up images without flare phenomenon by preventing the exfoliation of a light shielding substance layer by a method wherein said layer is provided in the region on the charge transfer part, and this layer is provided with cuts at required intervals. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum layer 11 is formed above a semiconductor substrate 1 with photo diodes 2 via insulation film, and a passivation film 4 and a smoothing layer 5 are formed thereon. Light shielding substance layers 12 are formed on the layer 5. This layer 12 is provided on a charge transfer part adjacent to a photo diode 2 as shown in the drawing, and is island-formed due to cuts corresponding to the diodes 2. This construction prevents the exfoliation of the layers 12. Further, the first dyed layer 7, a mixed-color preventing film (intermediate layer) 8, the second dyed layer 9, and an overcoat (protection layer) 10 are provided, resulting in the formation of the titled device. |
