MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To simplify management control by providing a table storing management information of a recording medium to each recording medium library device and constituting a copy of a recording medium management table for the entire system in an information processor. CONSTITUTION:The information processor 1 reads a cell number and side information in an optical disc library device OLU2a from a management table 101 stored in a main memory 41 and loads an optical disc cartridge onto an optical disc driver ODD15. The optical disc cartridge 13 having a designated cell number is extracted from the cell 12 and loaded to the ODD15. The optical disc cartridge loaded on the ODD15 is restored to the original cell 12 at the end of access to the optical disc cartridge. The optical disc cartridge loaded onto the ODD15 is restored to the cell 12 of the designated number and the operation is finished. All the optical disc cartridges in the system are managed and the management control is simplified.
