PURPOSE:To avoid looking at a display device for a long period of time by applying a rest interruption from a timer after a prescribed period of time and running a rest indicating program when the data processing is settled temporarily in order to give an alarm. CONSTITUTION:A deciding means 7 for CPU internal execution mode and a rest indicating program 8 are provided to a CPU2 connected to a timer 1. While a CRT display 4 and a sound synthesizing circuit 5 containing a speaker 6 are provided to a CRT display device 3 connected to the CPU2. A timer trigger signal is sent to the timer 1 in a power supply application mode, etc. and a rest setting request signal is sent to the CPU2 from the timer 1 after the set time. Then the means 7 decides the internal processing of the CPU2 is under execution or not. Then the program 8 is run if said internal processing is under execution. An alarm is delivered via a speaker 6, etc.
