PURPOSE:The titled dispersion suitable for dyeing polyester fibers modified with an acid, by using a polymer sulfonated dicyclopentadiene as an anionic dispersant, dispersing finely a slightly soluble dye complex consisting of the polymer and a water-soluble basic dye with an excess amount of the dispersant. CONSTITUTION:(A) A slightly soluble dye complex consisting of a polymer of sulfonated dicyclopentadiene (preferably 3,500-50,000 weight-average molecular weight) as an anionic dispersant, and a water-soluble basic dye [e.g., C.I. basic yellow 11 (C.I.48055), etc.] is finely dispersed by the use of an excess amount of the dispersant, to give the aimed dye dispersion.
