This device is of the type comprising a metal ring made in at least two parts 2 and a flexible ring 3 made of rubber or monolithic elastomer and overmoulded on one edge of the metal ring. According to the invention, the faces opposite the adjacent ends of the two parts of the ring are made up of surfaces 12 which are inclined and divergent from the end of the component where the elastomer is overmoulded towards the other end of the latter.
