Vaccine intended to protect against diseases caused by a micro-organisms having a membrane as the most external envelope, particularly, a mycoplasm, characterized in that it contains, as active principle, plasmic membranes of the micro-organisms concerned, deprived at least in a large extent of other constituents of said micro-organisms. Said vaccine is prepared by cultivating the micro-organisms concerned, collecting and lysing the cells by a ultrasonic process, and sedimentation of the membranes by centrifugation and introduction into a form appropriate for vaccination. When the active principle is comprised of membranes of mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, the vaccine, administered by subcutaneous and/or intramuscular process, protects efficiently the swine and the farrows of pregnant sows against enzootic pneumonia.
