A piezo- and/or pyro-electrical converter (1) for converting a force or a movement into an electrical signal or conversely. The disadvantage of the previously known converters is mainly that their temperature measurement must be carried out by means of a separate temperature sensor. The temperature of the converter itself cannot be measured but must be estimated on the basis of the environment. To solve these problems, a high-frequency signal (S) is connected to the converter (1), the frequency of which is significantly higher than the lowest specific frequency of the converter (1). The signal (S) is connected either to a separate electrode pair (10, 11) or to an electrode pair (5, 10) of the converter via an isolating network (3, 4). To indicate the temperature changes of the converter (1) by means of an indicator (9), a particular quantity of the high-frequency signal (S) is used which responds to changes in the capacitance between the electrode pair (5, 10; 11, 10) of the converter (1). <IMAGE> |
