PURPOSE:The titled plastic lens material, consisting of a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a specific polyfluoroalkyl group-containing monomer with a methacrylic acid ester, and having optical characteristics, e.g. low refractive index and low dispersibility, etc. and improved heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:A plastic lens material consisting of a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (A) a polyfluoroalkyl group-containing polymerizable compound of formula I [X is O or NH; Y is a group of formula II, III or IV (Y' is 2-6C alkylene; Y'' is 1-4C alkylene; R is H or 1-6C alkyl; n is an integer 0-3), etc.; Rf is polyfluoroalkyl] with (B) a methacrylic acid ester of formula V (R' is alkyl or cyclohexyl).
