PURPOSE:To decrease the read time by incorporating an incrementer/decrementer and an output data register into a semiconductor storage device, storing the read data at the setting time of a changing address and adding or subtracting a mumeral ''1'' to/from the content. CONSTITUTION:An address is written to an address register 2 from an external address line 1, a signal RD is outputted at the setting point of time of the address, a data on an internal output data line 6 is written in an output register 7 and outputted to an external output data line 5. After the data on the data line 5 is utilized, the next address is written in the address register 2 from the external address line 1. The incrementer/decrementer 8 uses the signal RD as a clock and adds/subtracts a numeral ''1'' to/from the content of the address register 2 sequentially, and the data having the consecutive address number is read sequentially and when the final address of the consecutive address is outputted, the logical level of a signal SEQ is brought into ''0'' and then the consecutive read is finished. The processing time is reduced. |
