In the improved heat-recovery device of the invention, the internal space of the hollow wall is provided with a baffle arrangement consisting of at least two systems of vertical deflecting partitions 10a, 10b shaped into a zig-zag or into a concertina, these two partition systems facing each other so as to arrange between them a certain number of diamond-shaped spaces, in the longitudinal axis of which horizontal deflecting partitions 10c are installed, and baffles 12 are provided at right angles to the peripheral rim 11 of the plate, which extend substantially in the axis of symmetry of the concertina folds of the respective partitions 10a, 10b facing them. <IMAGE>
