PURPOSE:To weld without the generation of unwelding part by welding the confronting line of both bodies to be welded with a single laser beam of either one part of a laser beaming head. CONSTITUTION:The cutting face of the clamped both bodies 3a', 3b' to be welded is confronted at the intermediate position M of working heads 4a, 4b by moving a clamper 2 at inlet side and clamper 1 at outlet side toward the intermediate part of both laser work heads 4a, 4b. When a rotary shaft 10 is then rotated 90 deg. counterclockwise, the laser beaming line is in coincident with the confronting line. When the travelling truck is moved again to the plate width direction of the bodies 3a, 3b to be welded, as the laser beam is intercepted by a shutter 12 on the part of the laser work head 4a, the confronting line is welded by the laser beam irradiated from the other laser work head 4b. |
