PURPOSE:To use the titled detecting agent at the time of a pressureproof test of a structure, to make it safe at the time of a high pressure test, too, to cause no danger for scattering fragments of the structure, and to detect visually, exactly and easily leakage of a very small quantity of water, as well. CONSTITUTION:A water leakage detecting agent consisting of about 60wt% soda bicarbonate powder, about 30wt% citric acid powder, and the balance powder soap is used. Also, the inside of a closed structure 1 of a cubical box shape is filled with water by operating a hydraulic pump 4. Subsequently, a water leakage detecting agent is applied to an optional part of the structure 1, to the whole surface if necessary, and the pressure is raised to a desired test pressure by the pump 4. In this case, if remarkable defects such as cracks, etc. running to the outside and inside of the structure exists in the structure 1, pressurized water jets out. The jetted water reacts to soda bicarbonate and citric acid for constituting the components of the water leakage detecting agent, generates carbon dioxide, and on the other hand, powder soap is melted in water and generates soap foams, and a water leakage part can be detected visually by both of them. Also, since the pressurized water is used, scattering of fragments caused by breakdown of the structure 1 is prevented by stopping the pressure in a state that water leakage exists. |
