PURPOSE:To turn a paper sheet in a 90 deg. arc and transport same by turning the sheet to a side guide in a 90 deg. arc by means of the first and second transport rollers different in feed speed and a feed roller on a side plate of a tray, and locating a gate at a non-stop position. CONSTITUTION:The first transport mechanism 3 is provided with the first and second transport rollers 6, 7 disposed orthogonally to the transport direction. The rollers 6 is driven at higher speed than the roller 7. A tray 4 is provided with a side plate 8 and a side guide 9, and on discharge side of the tray, a gate 10 is rotatably supported by a shaft 11 coupled to a solenoid 13. A paper sheet A is twisted to the guide 9 due to a difference in feed speed by the rollers 6, 7 to be turned to the tray 4, and brought into contact with the guide 9 and the gate 10 by a paddle wheel 16 disposed obliquely above the side plate 8, so that the sheet A is turned in a 90 deg. arc, and passed through the gate 10 located at a non-stop position to be transported by the second transport mechanism 5. |
