In an accessory, in particular for vehicles, such as an armrest (1), a supporting strap (2) or the like, having an angular piece (4) which emerges from the contact face (3) of the said accessory and whose free angled leg (8) can be supported on a part (5) of the body of the vehicle and can be attached to the latter by means of a screw (11) which has a head (13), the accessory having a through-opening (21) which runs in the axial direction of the screw (11) for a screwdriver to be inserted through for actuating the screw (11), there is provision for the screw (11) to be premounted on the angular piece (4) without penetrating its free leg (8), and to be arranged so as to be guided in an axially movable fashion. <IMAGE>
