The nozzle is intended for powder flame spray burners with which the faces of workpieces or the like are to be coated with metal, ceramics or similar powders. Such a nozzle consists of a nozzle body with a central powder conveying channel which opens in the front face of the nozzle and combustion gas channels which open around the said channel and converge in the direction of the outflow, the front face being provided with a depression. The depression (1) is constructed in the form of a blind hole or of a truncated cone (1') which diverges towards the direction of the outflow. The depth of the depression here is a multiple of the size of the diameter of the opening of a combustion gas channel (2). The combustion gas channels (2, 2') are arranged with their mouth openings (3) in the form of individual openings or two circular ring-shaped openings on two concentric circles of the side wall (4) of the depression (1). <IMAGE>
