<p>A scar correcting device which comprises a memory (5) storing data of a defective picture element in a solid state imaging element, a coincidence detector circuit (13) which discriminates the position of a defective picture element at the time of pickup, and a defect correcting circuit (3). The defect correcting circuit (3) comprises means for preparing a plurality of correcting signals from the signals of the picture elements surrounding the defective picture element, and means for selecting an optimun correcting signal from the above plurality of correcting signals depending upon the conditions of picture and signals from the surrounding picture elements. The thus selected optimum correcting signal is used instead of the signal from the defective picture element.</p> |
