PURPOSE:To obtain a simple-constitution one-component developing device capable of charging uniformly a toner, dispersing and sticking uniformly the toner onto a developing roll, and coating the toner as one layer by constituting the device of a latent image holding body, a developer carrier, a developer supply means, a coating means, and a layer thickness control member and forming the coating member with an elastic member where many minute rugged parts are formed on the surface. CONSTITUTION:When a developer on a developing roll 9 passes between the developing roll 9 and a layer thickness control member 14, the layer thickness is uniformed in a wedge-shaped space part of the layer thickness control member 14, and the developer 10 on the developing roll 9 is dispersed uniformly and is formed into a thin layer, and stripes generated in the part of a coating means 12 disappear completely. Since minute rugged parts are provided on the surface of the layer thickness control member 14, it is difficult that the developer is attracted to the control member, and the toner layer thickness control action is fulfilled stably for a long period, and the developer layer is made thin more easily by the ruggedness of the layer thickness control member 14. Consequently, the developer is not multi-layered, and the developer charged defectively is not coated on the developing roll, and scattering of the developer and photographic fog do not occur, thus obtaining always stable pictures of a certain density. |
