The conveying device according to the invention has a distributing table, to which a plurality of track conveyors arranged next to one another feed articles, and/or from which a plurality of removing track conveyors remove the articles again. Two flexible strips are arranged next to one another on the distributing table, the two ends of which situated next to one another in each case each end in a guide. The two guides can be moved transversely to the track conveyors, in order to connect any feeding track conveyor to any removing track conveyor. The two flexible strips are, while maintaining their distance, fixedly connected to one another in the middle of the distributing table, and are able to reciprocate with their guides in the conveying direction, in order to compensate for differences in length.
