ROLL SHIFTING DEVICE OF ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device itself and to perform the roll shifting of a rolling mill stably by engaging a shifting arm provided on the end part of a roll with the connecting body provided on the outside part of a mobile cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A shifting arm 3 projecting in a line direction is provided on the end part of a journal box 2 of a roll 1 and a mobile cylinder 5 moving in the axial line direction opposing to the shifting arm 3 is provided on the side of a housing 4. A hollow groove 9 is provided on the outer periphery of the mobile cylinder 5 and a connecting body 10 is fitted thereto, which is moved to a line direction by connecting the rod of a cylinder 11 thereto. A notched part 12 is provided at the outside of the connecting body 10 and enaged with the tip of the shifting arm 3 and the shifting arm 3 and mobile cylinder 5 are connected. The roll 1 is adequately shifted in axial direction via the shifting arm 3 when the mobile cylinder 5 is reciprocated.
