The method is characterized in that it comprises the marking on rod (7) and ground (8, 9) records elementary records corresponding to a same elevation (Z1 or Z4) of the drilling tool (5), the grouping in pairs of said elementary records, and the intercorrelation of said records of the pairs so as to produce, for each pair, a correlated signal representative of the acoustical energy created and of the travel time difference of the waves received by sensors (7, 8, 9) from which the pair of recordings has been obtained. Applications particularly to the determination of the seismic profile of wells.
