PURPOSE:To efficiently supply a high frequency high voltage to a large capacitive load by generating the high frequency high voltage by an L-C vibration at a high voltage side without using the high frequency primary power source and a high frequency transformer. CONSTITUTION:A capacitive load 1 to become a parallel connection unit of a capacity 2 and a high resistor 3 in an equivalent circuit is connected through leads 7, 8 with the output terminals 5, 6 of a high frequency high voltage power source 4. This power source 4 has a 3-phase high voltage transformer 9, 3-phase rectifiers 19, 20, tank capacitors 28, 29, thyristors 31, 33, a resonance inductance 36. and a load voltage detector 52, and the thyristors 31, 33 are alternately conducted in the prescribed frequency by a thyristor converter 43. Thus, the charging voltage of the capacitor 28 is applied through a resonance inductance 35 to a load 1 by turning ON the thyristor 31, reversely flowed through an inductance 41 and a rectifier 32 for turning OFF by a transient vibration to turn OFF the thyristor 31.
