A sales or display shelf unit having shelves which are attached to supports and are arranged at vertical intervals which are greater than the smallest and smaller than the largest of the articles to be displayed, two shelves arranged one above the other, seen in plan view, only partially overlapping one another in each case, the supports being constructed as central columns which are preferably provided with a foot and are partially surrounded by the shelves, and the column having attachment bores, each offset around the circumference at given support heights, for the selective angularly offset attachment of holding members for the shelves.
