The "sun visor on a rearview mirror" with pull-out anti-dazzle film constitutes an additional protection against dazzle for the drivers of motor vehicles, which, attached to the holder of the rearview mirror by means of a clamping device, is intended to protect, as a connecting visor between the folded-down, permanently installed car sun visors which are installed to the left and to the right of the said connecting visor, the unprotected intermediate space against the dazzle effect. Thus, almost the entire field of vision of the driver located in the entire width of the windscreen is screened uninterruptedly by means of this further sun visor. This rearview-mirror sun visor consists of a very flat, rectangular, darkly coloured polycarbonate/macrolon housing and a pull-out 1 mm thick anti-dazzle film made of the same material. In the clamped-tight state, this sun visor is located between the rearview mirror and windscreen and in the pushed-up state it is located directly against the upper edge of the said windscreen and therefore, in accordance with the safety regulations of the STVZO (road safety organisation), lies outside the impact angle in the event of accidents. Since different types of vehicle have rearview mirrors attached to the windscreen, a rectangular recess was made on the upper central part of the housing, in the grooves of which recess the housing can be pushed upwards on a rail attached to the swivellable clamping device, past this rearview-mirror holder which is less common.
