PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a stator and a rotor by effectively reducing the temperature of air flowed through a core back vent passage, a stator vent hole and a rotor vent hole. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor shaft 1 rotates, outer air is intaken from a suction port 10 by a cooling fan 12, the air flows through a stator vent hole 6, a stator communication hole 16, a core back vent hole 9, an air gap 4 and a rotor vent hole 3 as designated by arrows, and exhausted through the fan 12 from an exhaust port 11. Air flowing through the holes 16 and 6 mainly cool a stator conductor 13 and a stator core 5, the air passing the hole 9 cools the core 5, and the air passing the air gap 4 cools the conductor 13, the core 5, the conductor 14 and the core 2. |
