PURPOSE:To attach filter cloth in an easily detachable manner so as not to receive repeated bending, by arranging a partition members so as to fix the same to the outer peripheral surface of a cylinder over the total length thereof in the axial direction of the cylinder and mounting the filter cloth between adjacent partition members in a bow shape. CONSTITUTION:Partition members are secured to the surface of a drum 2 over the total length thereof in the axial direction of the drum 2. Filter cloth 3 is mounted to the drum 2 so that the cross-sectional area thereof in the rotary direction is formed into a bow shape by the projection of the partition members 1. Then, a filter cake 7 is formed to the surface of the filter cloth 3 immersed in a liquid tank by the vacuum action in the drum 2. The filter cake 7 is dehydrated along with the revolution of the drum 2 and the filter cloth 3 is blown from the inside by compressed air supplied from the inside of the drum 2 at the point of time when the filter cake 7 comes to an air blow position and detached and swelled from the surface of the drum 2 to crush and release the adhered dehydrated cake.
