PURPOSE:To paint both front and back surfaces of plural pieces at once without irregularity, by inserting plural parquetry boards between two frameworks of a painting instrument to hold the same therebetween in a fixed state and performing painting from both sides of the frameworks in this state. CONSTITUTION:In such a state that two frameworks 3 are shaken and spaced apart to each other, parquetry boards 1 preliminarily painted white over entire surfaces thereof are inserted into a space 9 in plural up-and-down stages so that one end edges thereof in the longitudinal direction are contacted with a stopper 5. Then, both frameworks 3 are shaken and allowed to approach to each other and allow an engaging hook 11 to engage with a projection 10 to be engaged to hold and fix plural stages of parquetry boards between the frameworks 3 from both front and back sides thereof. In this state, each parquetry plate 1 is held so that plural plate parts 1A positioned to plate parts having an equal width on every other part in the longitudinal direction are held between the frameworks and the remaining plural non-held plate parts 1B are exposed. If a red paint is simultaneously applied to both front and back sides of the non-held plate parts 1B, a desired parquetry plate A classified by colors is obtained.
