The invention relates to the generation of carbon monoxide from specific carbonisation bodies in a heating furnace, as a motor fuel. The carbonisation bodies are preferably capable of rolling and are arranged on inclined, air-permeable tracks (or also small roller tracks) in a burning furnace. The carbonisation bodies consisting, for example, of carbon and/or wood are caused to undergo a carbonising combustion for the formation of carbon monoxide by means of carbonisation ignition devices, with an optimised controllable air supply, and the CO gas is passed to a reservoir. This returns a small part of the gas taken up to the burning furnace for the carbonising combustion of the carbonising bodies. The carbonising bodies can, for example, consist of wood to which carbon and/or bicarbonate has been added. The released carbon dioxide gas is reduced with excess carbon to carbon monoxide. |
