In a floor-mounted console for heaters, having a baseplate, a square-tube plug-in sleeve mounted thereon, a square standpipe which can be plugged into said sleeve, and a console piece which can be adjusted for height on said standpipe and is seated fixably thereon and supports the heater in upright fashion, constrictions in the form of a wedge-shaped plastic part or a pressed-in knob are provided in the square-tube plug-in sleeve. The constriction retains the standpipe in the plug-in sleeve with an interference fit. A clamping bolt is provided at the upper end, or two clamping bolts are provided, with a nut seated in the plug-in sleeve. The console piece has, on one side of the standpipe, a fixing bolt with a nut held non-rotatably in the console piece, and on the other side of the standpipe a plastic part, which can be freely plugged in before tightening the fixing bolt and has a slot which accommodates the lower rim of the heater.
