The invention relates to a process for printing materials, in particular textiles, metal, glass, plastic, wood and its imitations, laminates, gypsum, and those made receptive for subliming dyestuffs by means of a surface-treatment, in particular by polyester, polyamides and other polymers, by means of transfer-printing paper. The motif intended for the carrier is applied to the transfer-printing paper by pressing it onto the carrier with the colour side, in particular with additional heating. An image of the motif is taken by a television camera, converted in a computer into values and then printed by a printer, connected to the computer, onto the transfer-printing paper.
