摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct image whose resolution is improved, by turning a slave satellite loaded with a video radar round a still platform. CONSTITUTION:By turning a slave satellite 12 loaded with a video radar round a master satellite 11, a point target P on an object to be observed X receives an irradiation of a transmitting pulse wave from an antenna 13, in a position B1 of the slave satellite 12 being in a turning motion on a slave satellite track D, and subsequently receives a pulse wave one after another in positions B2, B3. On the other hand, a reflected wave from the target P is received one after another by an antenna 13 on the slave satellite 12. A receiving signal received by the slave satellite 12 is sent out to the master satellite 11 in a state that it remains an analog signal, and in the master satellite 11, its receiving signal is brought to a signal processing such as quantization, etc., and recorded in a recording device. This received recording data is transmitted to an earth station from the master satellite 11, and by executing a processing batch of this data on the earth, an equivalent video data to that which has caught the target P by an antenna having the aperture in size of a turning track diameter 2r of the slave satellite 12 is obtained, the azimuth resolution is improved, and a distinct image is obtained.
