PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency by marking a glass plate, transferring same to a delivery portion by a conveyer, erecting same by a turning rod with a sucking disc, and supporting same at the lower end thereof by support means capable of freely elevating. CONSTITUTION:Marking heads 15, 15' are moved in X-Y direction to put a designated mark on a horizontally stationary glas plate 1. Subsequently, the glass plate is transferred to delivery means 4 by a conveyer 2, and stopped at a turning rod 28 to be lowered and placed on the turning rod 28. After that, a vacuum sucking disc 35 is lifted up by a cylinder 44 to adsorb the glass plate 1. Then, the turning rod 28 is turned to a vertical position by a cylinder 32, and the lower end of the glass plate 1 is brought into contact with a waiting support member 29, the height of which is previously controlled by a screw shaft 6 to support the glass plate. After that, the adsorption of the sucking disc 35 is released, and the support member 29 is lifted up by a cylinder 38 to push up the glass plate along a free roller 34 and install same on tongs 42. Thus, work efficiency can be improved. |
