Aids for the production of a grid of cast metal, which is placed on a toothed part for the retention of a body to be fixed thereon, are to be designed in such a way that their use poses no problems and the retaining means produced offer a high degree of joining capacity in order to provide the facing to be applied with sufficiently permanent grip. For this purpose, use is made, on the one hand, of a lattice, which is designed as a supply flexible woven structure comprising warp and weft filaments (11, 12) with a diameter (e, d) of less than 0.3 mm and having a self-adhesive coating and is fixed removably on a carrier film (20). On the other hand, the object is achieved by a lattice which is designed as a supple and flexible plastics net (40) comprising warp and weft filaments (41, 42) with a diameter of 100 <0>m (e1, t1) and an open area of about 50% of the surface, the supple and flexible plastics net being fixed on a leaf-like carrier (46). <IMAGE>
