PURPOSE:To dispense with a backup voltage for holding a storage during engine stoppage, by judging a type of gasoline by means of whether there is any knocking or not, while controlling an ignition signal for its timing delay according to the judging conditions, and storing the timing delay controlled variable with a rheostat. CONSTITUTION:There is provided with a knock discriminating part 2 discriminating a knock from a detection signal out of a knock sensor 1 and from the output, the knock intensity is judged at an ignition timing change judging part 3, through which whether the service gasoline is regular or premium one is detected, while whether an ignition timing change is required or not is judged. An output signal out of this judging part 3 is inputted into a motor driving part 6 via an AND circuit 5, then a motor 70 of a storing part 7 is driven and controlled. With operation of this motor 70, a slider of a rheostat 75 is displaced, thereby storing a timing delay controlled variable of the ignition signal in a mechanical manner. And, in conformity with this stored timing delay controlled variable, phase of the ignition signal out of an ignition signal generator 8 is controlled for its timing delay by a phase shifter 9 and outputted to a switching circuit 10. |
