METHOD OF REPRODUCT FOR CATALIST

A catalyst for terephthalic acid manufacturing, e.g., cobalt acetate and manganese acetate, is recovered from the ash obtained by complete incineration of reaction waste sludge containing 35 40 % water at 800 - 850≰C. The resulting ash is dissolved in a solvent of water(A) and 98 % acetic acid(B), which is reacted with 5 - 35 % hydrogen peroxide at 40≰C. The unreacted material is then removed from the reaction mixture. Final concn. of (B) is 10 - 30 %. Mixing ratio of (B) to (C) is 1 : 1 to 10 : 1.
