PURPOSE:To obtain a stable clutch by providing a clutch coupler adapted for pressing and guiding a clutch ball and having a recess and a ball guide surface for guiding the clutch ball to clutch switching positions. CONSTITUTION:When a clutch coupler 6 is axially moved to locate a recess 7 to such a position as to receive a clutch ball 5 therein, the ball 5 is automatically fitted into the recess 7, causing disengagement of the clutch; when a ball guide surface 8 tilting at an acute angle to the axial direction is moved to the position opposing to the ball 5, the ball 5 is pushed toward the axis by the guide surface 8 to engage the clutch, permitting engagement and disengagement of the clutch with small relative axial movement of the coupler 6 in relation to the ball 5. |
