<p>Articles (12) to be sprayed pass along an omega-shaped loop which is enclosed for at least 180 DEG of the loop by a spray booth (10). A rotary spraying device (14) is located at the centre of the loop. The spray booth (10) consists of adjacent planar water curtain units (20), with a common reservoir (66), surrounding the major part of the loop. Air flow, at a substantially constant velocity, carries overspray particles through the water curtain units (20) and a second water wash means (36) ensuring the washing out of paint particles. The air then passes through a water eliminator (76) to an exhaust (26).</p> |
