摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and low-cost method and device which makes a means to safely secure hollow spaces formed by excavation in mines produce required pressure for securing the spaces safely, while allowed to be deformed, against the pressures acting upon it. SOLUTION: A compressed body (7) is inserted into a shrinking joint (6) between two tunnel lining members (2, 3) and deformed by a compression load produced when these tunnel lining members move relative to each other. The compressed body is made of materials and a space occupying 10-90% of its total volume, and has at least a 1MPa pressure-resisting strength. The compressed body (7) is made of a steel-made foaming material or a mixture of materials including cement and foaming glass or plastic particles.
