PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod with a bit, which can drill the ground on the periphery of a tendon in a lengthwise direction. SOLUTION: The rod with the cylindrical bit is formed of the ring bit 1 for drilling the ground on the periphery of a prestressing (PC) wire 10 in the lengthwise direction, and a front-end rod 2 having the bit protruding forward from its front end face, and carries out rotation around its axis with the prestressing wire 10 being inserted therein, and press-fitting, to thereby drill the ground. The front-end rod is divided into a first cylindrical member 21 and a second cylindrical member 22, and a rear end of the first cylindrical member 21 and a front end of the second cylindrical member 22 cooperatively form a ball joint 5 and connected together in a bendable manner. Further, both the cylindrical members each have a pair of recesses 6 formed in a mutually opposed surfaces, and pellets for synchronously rotating both the cylindrical members rockably housed in the pairing recesses 6. The pairing recesses 6 are designed so as to have a size with which the cylindrical members are protected from bending in a bending direction forced by the prestressing wire 10 irrespective of rotation of the pairing recesses 6.
