PURPOSE:To obtain the simple lamination type heat exchanger having a low pressure loss and a high heat transfer coefficient by a method wherein the developments of speed and temperature boundary layers are restrained by a thin plate fixed to the inside of a groove to coincide the direction of disturbance of the flow of fluid with the direction of movement of heat. CONSTITUTION:The thin plate 10, supported by the side surfaces of a flow path 11, divides the flow path 11 into two divisions while the thin plates 10 are provided with spaces in the direction of flow of fluid. The direction of flow of fluid is changed to the directions of upper and lower walls at the upstream side of the thin plate 10 and whereby the developments of speed and temperature boundary layers are restrained. The heat transfer coefficient is increased very much at a part where the fluid collides against the wall surface and the average heat transfer coefficient in the whole of the flow path is increased. On the other hand, the pressure loss is somewhat increased, however, the increase of heat transfer coefficient may be larger as compared with the increase of the pressure loss. |
