The present invention refers to a fabric manufactured out of any type of composition, which is impermeable due to the application of an acrylic resin onto a first surface thereof. The advantages of the present process are that the fabric is hypoallergenic, thereby preventing dust, mites and further allergenic elements from penetrating thereinto; it is thermal, thus maintaining stable the body temperature since it is water vapour permeable; the fabric is light, thereby avoiding extreme conditions and providing comfort to the user since it is hardly perceived. The inventive fabric has an acrylic finish useful for being adhered to the object to be protected, thus avoiding uncomfortable displacements; said fabric has been previously subjected to a shrinking process useful for maintaining its original size after being washed. The invention resists industrial washes without being damaged so that it may be used in sanitary, hospital and clinic areas; allergology, gynaecology and obstetrics, paediatrics and urology areas; tourist areas such as hotels, motels, hostels, etc; the fabric is further used at home in the textile automotive sector or any other area where an object requires to be protected.
