摘要 PURPOSE:To speed up printing in the image formation of the 2nd and succeeding plates by charging a printing plate, which has an image formed with insulating toner on a photosensitive body formed by a photoconductive sensitive layer on a conductive bese, electrostatically and uniformly to the opposite polarity of the chargeable polarity of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A take-up reel 5 is driven to set a master 3 which has a master photosensitive layer 11 formed on a conductive base onto a drum surface 7. The photosensitive layer is charged by an electrostatic charging mechanism 12 to, for example, the negative polarity. Then, a beam image of an original 17 is formed on the photosensitive layer to obtain an electrostatic latent image, which is developed by a developing mechanism 14 with insulating toner 21. The organic solvent of start paper 27 sent by a supply mechanism 28 contacts the toner image 21, which is fixed to the photosensitive layer to obtain the printing plate while the start paper 27 is discharged from the system. The printing plate is charged electrostatically and uniformly by the mechanism 12 to the opposite polarity of the chargeable polarity of the photosensitive layer, e.g. the positive polarity, and the image is developed by the mechanism 14 and then transferred to normal printing paper 25. This printing process is repeated to obtain a specific number of prints.
