PURPOSE:To provide a hot-melt adhesive having good adhesion to both metals and plastics, by adding a prim. or sec. aliph. or arom. amine to a mixture of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and a polyamide. CONSTITUTION:0.1-5.0pts.wt. prim. or sec. aliph. or arom. amine is added to 100pts.wt. mixture of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a hydrolysis rate of 50-90wt% and a polyamide resin having an amine value of 0.5-30 in a weight ratio of 90:10-60:40. Adhesion to metals can be improved by hydrolyzing the ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and then graft-polymerizing to an extent of 0.1-5.0wt%. Examples of the amines are diethylenetriamine, m-xylenediamine and sulfonamide derivatives. |
