<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a good visual field direction in the center of a liquid crystal panel and improve a field angle characteristic by setting the rubbing treatment direction of one substrate of the panel concentrically and that of the other substrate radially. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower substrates 5 and 5' on which a transparent electrode is formed in a specific pattern shape are coated with oriented films 6 and 6'; the substrate 5 is rubbed concentrically and the substrate 5' is rubble radially. Then the substrates 5 and 5' are combined together so that their end parts are superposed one over another, and sealed with sealant 7. Further, liquid crystal material 7 is charged to obtain the liquid crystal panel with the good visual field direction.</p> |
