PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical precision of a deflecting and reflecting surface by forming the deflecting and reflecting surface directly and slantingly to the axis of the rotating shaft of a motor. CONSTITUTION:Two flat reflecting surfaces 11 and 12 are formed semielliptically and equally at the upper end part of the rotating shaft of the hysteresis motor slantingly to the axis O. The rotating shaft 10 uses a semirigid magnetic material and is supported by a thrust air bearing 15. Consequently, the rotating shaft 10 itself is worked directly to form the reflecting surfaces, so any of errors which occur conventionally when a polygon mirror is assembled on the rotating shaft does not appear, thereby improving the mechanical precision. |
